In 1832 Adam Henkell commenced his wine trade in the heart of Germany's Rhine Valley. To this day seven generations of his descendants have continued trading in wines. In 1980, Adam's great-great-grandson Hans visited the Yarra Valley. Plans were made which led to the development of a Vineyard.  HENKELL VINEYARDS and the Cellar Door are located at the upper Yarra Valley 55km from the centre of Melbourne/Australia.
